The pleasant city of Montevideo serves as the capital city of the southern America country of Uruguay. The city traces its history back in 1724 and largely remained as an old town before being modernized in the 19th century.

Monravia is a city where there is nothing much to do, see or buy. You will find some few merchants along the streets selling household wares, DVDs and used clothes. The two supermarkets in the city are well stocked and large. The streets are lined with billboards requesting locals to pay taxes and boost the local economy.

Mogadishu is the capital city of Somalia. The city has been a hot battle ground for a civil war that has ravaged Somalia since 1991 making the country the most dangerous place to be on earth.

Minsk is the capital city of Belarus and also the largest city in the country. The city is surrounded by Niamiha and Svislac Rivers. During the World War II, the city was almost completely destroyed and rebuilding efforts began in 1950s.

The city of Lobamba is the legislative and royal capital of the country of Swaziland. While Lobamba might not be the one of the world’s renowned travel destinations, there are two traditional ceremonies that nevertheless make the city very famous.

Mbabane is the royal capital of Swaziland and second largest city in the country after Lobamba. The city’s population is slightly over 100,000 and the city sits on Mbabane River and surrounded by Mdzimba Mountains.

The city of Melekeok is in Palau Island and was named as the country’s capital city in 2006. Believe it or not, Melekeok has a population of slightly above 250 people. As such, Melekeok is the world’s smallest capital city in terms of population.

Maseru city serves as the national capital of Lesotho in Southern Africa. While there is nothing much to see in Maseru, you can still stop by before venturing into other further places in the country.

As the capital city of the low lying islands of Tuvalu, Funafuti is one of the least known destinations especially by tourists. Just like the rest of the surrounding islands, Funafuti enjoys a tropical climate and the area is quite safe as natural phenomena are rare.

Freetown, a city that is recognized as the heart and economic hub of West Africa. The city enjoys a strategic location and sits at the foot of Peninsula Mountains and beautifully faces a great natural harbor on West Africa coast.

Harare is the largest and most developed city in the South African country of Zimbabwe which also serves as the national administrative and commercial capital. About 2 million people reside in Harare with central Harare being the mostly populated part of the city.

Located in Chile in the province of Easter Island, Hanga Roa serves as the capital, harbor and main town of the province. With a population of about 5000 people, it is the most populous town on the Island.
